Local voices, local actions

Since 2018, LWF Chad responds to issues related to the right to land, the livelihoods of refugees and host communities, and in particular women. In the 3 provinces targeted by LWF, vulnerable communities face multidimensional poverty and limited access to their rights. This project is part of a specific initiative "Rights-based approaches: from local to global", that links concrete local actions with advocacy at the national and international level, so that people themselves are engaged and active in defending their own rights. This project includes concrete support to the villagers. For instance, LWF supports 15 gardeners of the host village of Danamadja, who each received 52,000 FCFA to buy adequate equipment.

“My motivation comes from looking at the smile and the hope on people's faces, for example after installing a drinking water supply system where water gushes out. It warms my heart.”
