Girls practicing Basketball in Jordan

18 February 2020, Amman, Jordan: Basketball training is underway at the Rufaida Al Aslamieh Primary Mixed School in the Sahab district. The school serves more than 1,000 students from kindergarten up to 10th grade, most of them girls from Jordan but also some from Syria and other countries, and, in the lower grades, also boys. LWF Jordan is a leading humanitarian organization in Jordan since 2012, focusing on empowering vulnerable communities through Economic Empowerment, Quality Services (Education), and Protection & Social Cohesion programs. Our people-centered approach engages with local government and communities to uphold rights. We strategically position ourselves in local communities and the Zaatari refugees camp, impacting lives through market-oriented skills, climate-friendly agriculture, and digital sectors. Our regional impact extends to Lebanon and Syria, benefiting numerous schools and vulnerable populations

"My daughter benefits from the ceramic lessons because they make her happy, and her practical skills are trained. I see a strong impact on her self-esteem. I am grateful that my daughter can receive this type of support because I see how active, receptive and communicative she has become."
